Terms of Service

Welcome to Snoutbook. By downloading, installing, or using the Snoutbook mobile applications for iPhone and Apple Watch (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Use of the App

Snoutbook is a pet health management tool designed to help you organize and track your pets' health information. The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2. Account Registration

To access most features, you need to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete registration information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of all data, records, documents, photos, and other content you submit to the App ("Your Content"). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services to you and to the people you invite.

Uploaded files are automatically processed before storage — embedded metadata is removed, files are converted to standard formats, and content is screened as described in Section 6 and the Privacy Policy.

4. Not Medical Advice

Snoutbook is not a substitute for professional veterinary care. The App, including all AI-powered features, is designed to help you organize and understand your pet's health information. It does not provide veterinary diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or medical advice. AI-generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for your pet's health concerns, and seek immediate veterinary attention in an emergency.

5. Subscriptions and Purchases

Snoutbook offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers ("Plus" and "Pro") that unlock additional capacity and features — such as more pets, more storage, family and pet-sitter sharing, and expanded AI capabilities. The current tiers and what each includes are described on our pricing page and in the App; specific prices are shown in the App at the time of purchase.

• Subscriptions are purchased through your Apple ID and are subject to the Apple App Store terms; Apple handles all billing, and we never receive your payment details
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
• Refunds are handled in accordance with Apple's refund policies
• If a subscription ends, your account moves to the free tier — Your Content is not deleted, but features and capacity beyond the free tier's limits become unavailable for new additions

6. Acceptable Use & Content Standards

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Upload content that violates our content standards

Uploads (records, receipts, photos, and profile images) are automatically screened for appropriateness before they are posted. The full content standards — including what is prohibited, what happens when an upload is declined, and the explicit allowance for legitimate pet-medical imagery — are set out in our Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these Terms.

7. Sharing Features

The App lets you invite family members and pet sitters to access pets you choose, at permission levels you set. You are responsible for who you invite and the access you grant them. People you invite must use the App in accordance with these Terms. You can revoke access at any time in the App.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, code, graphics, and branding, is owned by Snoutbook and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our written consent.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snoutbook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages arising from your use of the App or reliance on any information provided by the App, including AI-generated content.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App for violation of these Terms, including repeated or serious violations of the Acceptable Use Policy. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from within the App. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by other appropriate means.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
