Every roadmap eventually rolls up to the humans. These are the most important reviews on the whole calendar.
Freya's standing meeting with the boss.
Every Friday, the Director of Emergency Preparedness sits down with the app's creator for a proper high-level review — the open bugs, the features that actually matter, and, most importantly, the treat budget.
This is that meeting. She got the treat budget. The bugs got fixed. Everybody won.
Product feedback, delivered by mouth.
The Director of Emergency Preparedness prefers to run her reviews outdoors, at a full sprint, with a ball as the sole agenda item. Feedback is delivered directly to the creator and, per long-standing policy, is non-negotiable.
She has notes. The notes are the ball. You are not getting the ball.
When it's critical, the whole team convenes — on the CEO.
For the truly important calls, all three department heads pile onto one very willing founder and refuse to adjourn. Attendance is mandatory, the venue is his lap, and nobody is getting up until the matter is resolved.
Agenda: everything. This is where the big decisions get made — and, honestly, where the best ideas in the whole app came from.
From the meeting minutes 📋
The Q3 roadmap was reviewed line by line, then tabled indefinitely in favor of a synchronized nap. Consensus reached. Minutes taken by nobody.
Sole agenda item: has anyone checked the food bowl? They had. It was empty. A P0 incident was filed, escalated, and resolved within one treat.
The offline Emergency Snapshot passed its outdoor trial with no signal in sight. A stick was also evaluated, at length, and unanimously approved.
The team reviews ground-floor operations from above. Status: all systems nominal. One (1) squirrel flagged for follow-up.
Big-picture thinking deserves a better view. The three-year roadmap was set here, then immediately napped on. Both outcomes were counted as a win.
Annual review complete. Bonuses distributed in treats, morale reported as extremely high, and next year's roadmap fits on one very chewed sticky note.
